San Japan 4TW!

Here are my fantabulous tales of SJ4!

Friday:

No cosplay today. Sad face. I was going to wear my awesome Sailor Moon costume, but the wig…kinda went kaplooey. I did get pictures, though!

These chicks were AWESOME! They couldn’t walk 5 feet without getting asked for a picture, though.

These two were in my summer gym class XD

Saturday:

Doctor Who day! I cosplayed Amy, and my friend Gino cosplayed the 11th Doctor. It was Gino’s first con! :D

Fun Fact: Gino was scared to step onto the window XD

Saw these lovely Lady!Daleks in the Dealer’s Room.

We went to the Dealer’s Room, and Gino’s jaw hit the floor. I wish I had a picture of that. Next came…THE DOCTOR WHO MEETUP/PHOTOSHOOT! There were so many people there! Well kinda. Here are the pics I took.

A superamazing Ten with doctorwotwot photobombing.

And you thought putting two sonics together was bad…

Because sonic-ing yourself is always a good idea. (Sorry for fuzzy picture)

An AH-MAZING River Song!

Yay! Classic!Who!

I call this one: ~TARDIS’ Angels~

Because paradoxes are fun!

Then we were asked to move from that spot because it was a ‘fire hazard.’

Companions! :D (I’m the one in the red shirt)

The Master and the Lady!Daleks.

Ianto Jones in the middle of two Jacks…heaven.

So cute!

Awesome Liz 10!

^ This is probably my favorite picture of them all. The Master’s death scene. umad, Doctor?

Poor Ianto…yet no one cares.

And those are my pics from the meetup.

Afterwords, we went to eat at the food court. Then we bought more stuff at the Artist Alley and Dealer’s Room. At 4:30, we headed for the Cosplay Show! Well…the before-the-cosplay-show-setup thingy. THERE WAS ONLY ONE WATER MACHINE. And the room was packed! There were three total Doctor Who walk-ons, Gino and myself included. Sadly, I didn’t get any pictured or videos of the actual show, because we sat in the holding room till it was done. I did get one picture:

A FREAKING DALEK! Gino and I sat right in front of it before getting placed in order. I forget what award it won…but this thing was so cool!

Sadly, we didn’t win anything. Oh, well, there’s always next year!

Sunday:

We didn’t wake up until 10 because the Cosplay Contest ended at 11PM, an hour later than it was supposed to end. We missed our 12o’clock Host Club slot, which made me sad. We went to the San Japan Forum Meetup, which I took a video of. I’ll try to put up that video, plus all the other ones I took. No pictures that day, sadly. Afterword, we went to the Cosplay Show Feedback panel to, well, give feedback on the show. Good news: 3 Ranks next year! This year there was Youth, Novice, and Open. Next year, I think they’re doing away with the Youth slot and changing it to Novice, Journeyman, and Master. After that panel, we went home so I could sleep.

Post-Con Horrors:

Saturday night when I got home, I took off my wig to see this big red line from where the wig dug into my head.

This picture was taken today, so it’s not as bad.

I was a little worried, but thought, “Well, I’ve never worn a wig for 14 hours straight, so this should clear up by tomorrow.” This was part of the readon I didn’t cosplay Sunday, because all my wigs fall where this line is. It didn’t hurt, it was just numb and a bit swillen. It’s scabbing over now, so it’ll go away with hopefully little, if any, scarring. My doctor told me not to worry about it and to put neosporin on it to make it not get infected.

Monday night, I took my dog out for a walk like normal. I think something was in the air that irritated me, because Tuesday afternoon when I woke up (at around 1:15PM) my face was red and extremely swollen. My eyes were swollen shut and puffy red. Luckily I do not have any pictures of how I looked because it was terrible. I looked like Voldemort mixed with Harry Potter when Hermione hit Harry with that ugly-fying curse in HP:DH1. We rushed to the hospital, thinking something got into the red line on my head and infected it, causing my face to swell up. I was crying like a baby because my mom said if it was infected, if we don’t get it checked fast enough, the infection could spread to my brain and spinal fluid and I would die. Luckily, when we got into the ER, the doctor said it was just an allergic reaction to something. I now have to take 50mg of Benadryll every six hours and 60mg of stereroids so I’ll go back to normal. This is my face now:

A little swolled under my eyes and on the bridge of my nose still, but it’s WAY better than it was on Tuesday.

All in all, except the horrors post-con, San Japan was FANTASTIC! I’m definatley going next year! Maybe as the TARDIS! :D

See y’all next year!
